We were divided into groups today to work cooperatively with the other year jewellery students in the department to recognize and produce a beaded brooch on the 2023 Chinese New Year of the Rabbit. Today was solely devoted to the research process of learning more about the rabbit year and acknowledging our personal Chinese zodiac animal. I discovered that my animal is a horse, which was interesting to learn because horses are viewed as being high-spirited, active, enthusiastic, and having a cheery personality that people like. Working in a group also gave me the opportunity to enhance my leadership abilities by explaining to the first-years what they didn't grasp about the concept of the group orientation project together with teaching someone computer skills which made me feel like an IT geek...
