Suryakanthi Jhumka

A simple yet elegant earring. The stud area are usually big and round. Design is inspired by the sun, hence the name 'surya'. Big gold Suryakanthi are commonly used for parties and weddings whereas the smaller ones are worn for casual purposes. 

5.Jhaalar 

Jhaalar Jhumkas

Also known as chandlier earrings.Creates a frill-like look for below the ear. Can be seen with dotted pearls and create voluminous effect and dangle. 

6.Kashmiri

My favourite Hindi soapie actress from Bhagya Lakshmi, using the Kashmiri Jhumkas.

Traditional jhumkas. One or two strings hang from the back of the ear. Neck area gives an illusion of elongation.
