Ancient Roman :Wedding Ring

Ancient Rome Wedding Ring

The groom would traditionally offer the bride an iron ring, a gesture that marked the origins of using precious metals in later times. This enduring metal came to symbolize stability and strength, reflecting the unbreakable bond between the couple. In ancient Roman culture, the symbolic ring was worn on the fourth finger of the left hand, a tradition still followed today. Placing the ring on this finger was intentional, as it was believed to have a direct connection to the heart.
